the dream girl

Everyone else's countries are either much older, or their country's new but their society is several hundreds (if not thousands) of years old. Meanwhile, we're a bunch of C-students and spare kids that got jumbled together and told to play nice (not that it helped).

Then we got, you know, weapons and stuff. And by sheer luck that last Really Big War got played out on someone else's turf so we were like the last one's standing at the end of the brawl. And we really liked that part in That One Century with the cowboys and the Indians (after that One Nasty Civil War Thing but before everything got boring and unionized) and everyone else was knocked out and just wanted a break, so no real grown up country could tell us NOT to play Cowboys and Indians (and we hadn't decided to be Sensitive Cowboys yet so no, it wasn't Native-Americans, that was later when we figured out there were actual Indians still and the Brits weren't making them up because we've NEVER been good with geography, don't let them fool you it's not a new problem)...

So here we are. Except the terrorists are the new Indians and they totally aren't fighting fair. And everyone thinks we're just a bunch of redneck roughriders (except we don't really remember what roughriders were anymore, but it doesn't fit with our new sensitive persona and that's annoying).
